In the end, because I'm limited as to what days I can travel, my flight wasn't nearly as cheap as advertised. But it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than going to Taiwan from the U.S. I've heard a lot of good things about Taiwan, and although I only have about 4 days to spend there, I figure there's plenty to see even if I stay in Taipei the whole time. It would be nice if I could work out a one day tour to another part of Taiwan, maybe to do some bird watching or look at butterflies; there are apparently a ton of different species that live there or migrate through. And there are a lot of really beautiful forests and rivers and such. So I guess it'll depend on how easy or difficult it is to get around.
Anyhow, those are my plans for spring break. In the end, I think getting from Kochi to Osaka and back is going to be much more of a hassle than the actual international travel. But I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Andrea you sound like you are having a wonderful time. If you do see birds and butterflies take picures and post them please! The boys and I would love to see them. I am excited to hear about the play practice and your integration into Japanies culture. You are so amazing and I love to hear about your adventures. We all love you and miss you tons!
