Genki Musical Begins!

On Tuesday, the Genki musical organizers sent out the results of the auditions. Good news: I got an awesome part! This year's musical is combining some local history and the story A Christmas Carol. My role is the Ghost of the Future. What is particularly cool about this is that my character is going to be modeled after Lady Gaga, so I'm guessing I'll have a kick-ass costume and an entertaining personality. I think it's a role that requires some singing, and that should be fun.

I don't know yet how many lines I have to memorize, but I'm guessing it will be more than I originally intended. Hopefully I can figure it all out. We have our first meeting on Sunday, so I'll get to see the script then. I'm excited and definitely looking forward to it. I'll probably end up complaining about the time commitment, but I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
