Last Minute Plans

Since Friday is another national holiday, Sasha and I have been discussing travel plans for the three day weekend. However, we've procrastinated quite a bit and only finally settled on our plans. Tomorrow after work we'll take a train to Okayama, then another to Hiroshima. Of course, we don't actually have our train tickets yet, so the whole thing depends on us being able to get them tomorrow afternoon. I've never bought tickets at the station before; so far I've always gone through a travel agent. So hopefully I can figure it out fast enough.

In Hiroshima, there are plenty of things to see. There are museums and memorials related to the atomic bomb, but there are also cultural sights like the shrine at nearby Miyajima. And since it's a big city, there is always shopping and general exploring to do. I think Sasha and I will have a really good time once we're there, but for now I'm kind of stressing out about transportation. But that's just what happens when I leave it until the last minute.

Anyhow, those are my plans for the weekend. If everything works out as planned, we'll leave tomorrow night and come back on Sunday. Wish us luck!
